Blessed beyond measure to be married to my best friend and mom to two precious and spunky daughters under 5 who keep me grateful, laughing, and exhausted!

An education professor and former elementary teacher, currently teaching online and loving it, daily trying to get a grip on balance.

More creative than organized, with more ideas than time.

A glass-half-full thinker, keeping my sanity with lots of prayer and exercise and a little bit of coffee and chocolate.


This blog is named after my late grandmother’s favorite word serendipity, which she used often, meaning “an unexpected pleasant surprise.” She possessed an extraordinary ability to love God and people, to live simply but generously, and to recognize and celebrate the everyday serendipities. I want to be more like her.
